Day's Lock is located on the River Thames in Oxfordshire with the villages Little Wittenham on one side and Dorchester-on-Thames on the other side .
The Lock itself is also overlooked from the south by the hills of Wittenham Clumps and Round Hill.
A short way downstream from the Lock is Little Wittenham Bridge which spans the river in two sections with an island between.
How to Find Us
For those of you who have visited Pooh Sticks before, please note that the parking arrangements will be the same as in 2012.
The main car park will be at the Earth Trust Centre, just up the hill from Little Wittenham. Visitors will then be directed along the footpath down the hill to the Pooh Sticks registration tent, where you get your tickets and which will be in the paddock opposite the church. It takes just 10 minutes to walk down the hill, so we hope that this will be much better than previous years when parking has been along the road. For registered disabled and for those unable to walk so far, there will be limited parking in the paddock next to the registration tent.
The recommended route to the Earth Trust is through Long Wittenham or from the A4130. Please see the map below and the attached map.
